This Forty-Second Thousand hardcover book was published by Macmillan & Co London & New York in 1878. I don’t know very much about antique books and I will try to describe what I’m seeing. The book has red cloth boards with black end papers; gilt image of Queen in center and gilt title lettering on spine.

15.5 x 11 x 2cm hardback book, published by macmillan in 1935. A small bit of general wear and rubbing to the edges of the cover, fading to the spine, age browning to the pages. Name insciption on flyleaf, some pencil writing on the flyleaf highlighting the word ‘broken’ on page 169. Binding excellent, no splits along spine.
